When can my baby come home?“One of the most common questions we get is when will my baby go home. And as doctors, that'sprobably the question we dread the most because there's nothing like standing between a mom whowants to take her baby home. But as a rough ballpark, we'll tell you to aim for your due date. Now weusually get really lucky because babies are amazing. They're so strong and they're so resilient andthey usually come with pretty awesome parents that love them and take really care with them with us.They may make it home a few weeks before their due date.But in general, if you aim for your due date that's pretty reasonable. And a lot of times parents will askus, what specific things does my baby need to do. Well your baby needs to be able to maintain theirtemperature without needing the little incubator. Your baby has to be able to eat all of his or her foodby mouth versus needing a Feeding Tube or needing a special IV.
